We are excited to announce that the Tesco Winter Food Collection will be taking place from Thursday 28th to Saturday 30th November at Tesco stores in Ellon, Huntly, Inverurie, and Fraserburgh. This is an opportunity for our community to come together and support local individuals and families facing hardship during the colder months.
What Is the Tesco Winter Food Collection?
The Winter Food Collection is a national event organized by Tesco in partnership with Trussell Trust and FareShare. Shoppers are encouraged to purchase an extra item or two of food while doing their regular shopping and donate it at the collection point as they leave the store. These donations are vital to ensuring we can continue to provide essential food supplies to those in need this winter.
Our Partnership with Tesco:
We have been proudly partnering with Tesco since 2012. Through Permanent Collection Points (PCPs), annual Winter Food Collection events, and Tesco’s top-up payments, we are able to provide much-needed support to our community. In fact, 90% of food banks benefit from these PCPs in Tesco stores, making their involvement crucial to our ongoing work.
How You Can Help:
If you’re shopping at Tesco Ellon, Huntly, Inverurie, or Fraserburgh from 28th to 30th November, please consider picking up a few extra non-perishable food items and dropping them at the collection point. Your contributions, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference to individuals and families facing food insecurity.
